We’re excited to start to share the work-in-progress art design and game mechanics of the new cards coming with the reprint. Today, we’re showcasing the Volatile Laser, which presents a distinctly high risk, high reward gameplay.
Our favorite thing about this ship card is that it ties closely to Solar Titan’s strategic ship design and layout, as its placement has a significant impact on gameplay. Placing it next to a Sentinel Plate is an effective defensive move. Placing it behind the Command Deck may keep it safe, but may also destroy your ship prematurely if the opponent achieves a flanking attack.
The Volatile Laser can also result in interesting chain effects when combined with some of the other new cards – more to be revealed in the coming weeks!
